SLIPCOVERS
Over the last 30+ years, Renaissance Custom Upholstery has slipcovered countless pieces of furniture for clients throughout the Bay Area. Clean and crisp, a slipcover gives an elegant new look to your dining room chairs, hall chairs, sofas, couches and armchairs. Changing the look of your rooms as the seasons come and go is easily and affordably accomplished by a change of slipcovers. The fact that they can easily be removed for cleaning also makes them practical. Slipcovers can be sewn to a tailored or casual look in the fabric of your choice.
SEAT CUSHION UPHOLSTERY
Renaissance Custom Upholstery believes that seat cushions are the most important part of quality upholstery. When constructed properly, by necessity, they are also the most costly aspect. Over time the furniture industry has taken the natural contents out of the construction to lower cost. Natural down has been replaced with synthetic elements, including foam. Renaissance Custom Upholstery feels there is no substitute for natural down and feathers used in the blankets we make to wrap the foam. We also take extra steps in construction, like sewing felt to each face of the cushion to maintain proper fabric feel and placement.
OUTDOOR FURNITURE AND CUSHIONS
Renaissance Custom Upholstery can make perfect fit replacements for outdoor dining and lounging furniture. Many outdoor furniture manufacturers do not provide replacement cushions, and the original pieces were most likely a one-time thing. Outdoor cushions must be made in a synthetic material that will resist fading plus drain and “wick dry” after a summer storm. If the cushion itself is solid we can just replace the fabric covers with the latest outdoor fabric. Otherwise, we can build a cushion for you from scratch. We carry outdoor fabrics that have evolved in variety, patterns that are now even being used inside the house. They are fade resistant and can be cleaned with ease as compared to sensitive indoor fabrics. These fabrics also work well for boat and RV use.
CUSTOM HEADBOARDS & BEDDING
Over the years Renaissance Custom Upholstery has created numerous upholstered beds out of a variety of fine materials and fabrics, including wool, corduroy, leather, suede, velvet, canvas, and more. We can create the sleigh shape, platform, wing and more style bed shape of your dreams in an upholstered look. Our beds can be made with upholstered side rails to fit your existing mattress and box springs and provide the proper height. You can choose a finished wood trim detail for your bed or headboard from our selection.

They also provide depth of field to the eye, and while beautiful, also offer superior acoustic and temperature insulation. We utilize conventional wall upholstery methods or perimeter stretch fabric mounting systems. Superior quality wall upholstery enhances both residential and commercial rooms.
